Ada Lovelace Center for Digital Humanities (ADA)

ADA orchestrates cooperation in the digital humanities at FU and forms a focus point of contact and coordination. As part of the University Library, it serves as a hub and infrastructure for digital research. In doing so, ADA creates spaces for innovative research practices, encounters, open exchange, experimentation and inspiration.

ADA connects researchers and institutions at Freie Universität in the cross-sectional field of DH in an open-status manner. The Digital Humanities thrive on active collaboration and exchange across traditional disciplinary boundaries. We initiate and foster cooperation with various formats.

ADA provides DH-researchers and institutions with opportunities for science communication and out-reach activities that seek to offer inspiration and orientation. We feature DH-projects at Freie Universität and portrait the researchers behind them. The Digital Humanities team of the University Library advises on the development of a digital strategy in the context of research proposals and acts as a digital partner in research projects.

In close cooperation with the central institutions of Freie Universität, ADA supports and facilitates teaching and training in the Digital Humanities. ADA collaborates with the UB's Continuing Education team. On the following pages, you will find an overview of curricular and continuing education activities with a DH focus at FU.
